Daily Prayer For March 1, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Your Word tells us, because you are our Shepherd, we shall not lack for anything. Each of us are valuable and precious to you… You anticipate every need and faithfully provide…you see what lies ahead of us…you know the best and safest way to get us where we need to be …you know when to push us and when we are weary and need to rest…you lead us beside still waters and refreshing places so we can recharge and restore our souls…you know we need alone time with you so you can speak your healing and soothing words of love and encouragement to us. You lead us on your paths of righteousness to keep us safe and away from harm…you know how important it is for us to stay close to you so we can hear your voice that keeps us from harm and guides us..as our Shepherd you stand guard over us while we rest… just as a parent gazes lovingly at their sleeping child, you are there watching over us at all times…you never sleep, you never slumber… your ears are always listening for us so you can answer when we cry to you… when we must travel through the dark valleys you are with us, comforting us each step of the way…you are always reassuring us and beckoning us to keep following you until we reach our eternal home where we will live with you forever…Lord, you are so good to us…so loving and kind…you give us such vivid pictures to show your nearness and how much you care…

Father, to have true peace, we must follow your ways and your teachings. You tell us we will have peace when we keep our mind fixed on you. You tell us you have made a covenant of peace with us and you will not remove it…you have compassion on us. You tell us not to fear, because you are with us…you tell us to dwell in your peace and to be filled with your hope and joy. When we are in your presence there is no room for anything but your peace and rest…may you stir within our hearts a hunger and thirst for more of you…help us to meditate on you today… the adversary may be prowling around looking for ways to harm us, discourage us and to steal our peace and joy, but he is no match for you…we belong to you, and you are ours. Help us walk humbly with you today, secure in the knowledge that you are watching protectively over us as you guide us on our journey towards home. In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.
