Daily Prayer For April 7, 2023

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Seven hundred years before Jesus was nailed to the cross, Isaiah spoke of our Savior and Messiah. He accurately described that Jesus would be despised and rejected by men…that he would be a man of sorrows and well acquainted with grief…that He would be pierced and crushed for our sins… He would be oppressed and afflicted, yet wouldn’t open His mouth as a sheep before its shearers is silent. He would take our pain and shame upon Himself and bear our suffering so we could be redeemed and restored to a right relationship with you…it was prophesied that even though we, like sheep, have gone astray, our Savior would be led like a lamb to the slaughter. It is overwhelming to think Jesus loved us so much He was willing to endure the unthinkable on our behalf.
Father, we know Jesus is who He said He was. Everything that was prophesied about Him happened. We are so in awe of how you weave events together throughout time and history, so everything you decree comes to pass.
When we think our struggles are too much…when we are at our weakest and believe that we can’t possibly endure any longer…when the enemy whispers that you don’t care, that you don’t love us, that things can’t change, that there is no hope…help us remember the cross. That was the darkest day in the history of the world…but if you can take something as hideous and horrific as the cross and Jesus’ death and bring new life and hope from all that pain and suffering, you can do the same from our trials and struggles. Nothing is too hard for you. Nothing is impossible for you.
Help us remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is inside us, and through Jesus’ sacrifice, we have been made more than conquerors…Christ’s victory is our victory. Jesus did so much for us. We don’t want His sacrifices and victories to be wasted…we don’t want to fail to live up to all He made possible for us because of a lack of faith or fear or because we allow the wrong things to distract us and consume us. Please help us honor Jesus’ sacrifices by living, loving, and serving you well.
We are more grateful than our words can convey for our Savior…our Messiah…the Lamb who was slain to save and redeem us. We praise you and glorify your name, our Great God and King. Thank you, Jesus, for all you sacrificed to pay a debt we couldn’t pay and to make a way for us to be saved. What a wonderous thing it is to be loved by you. We humbly bow before you with love and gratitude in our hearts. Amen!
May you be overwhelmed by His great love for you, friends!
