Daily Prayer For January 22, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:07 am
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we gather today, we give you thanks and praise your name. We rejoice because our Savor is alive, and His power is within us. We are grateful for the light you give us to dispel the darkness and the strength and power you give us to overcome all that comes against us. We are thankful that you are perfect in all your ways, and we can depend on you and everything you say. Thank you for being a shield for all who take refuge in you. Thank you for encircling us with your angel armies and making our steps secure and our paths straight. There is none like you, our mighty God. Hallowed be your name.
Your Word tells us to hold onto your instruction and wisdom…to actively seek it…grip it, and not let it go…to guard it well, for it is our life. The Bible tells us wisdom is sweet to our souls…that it is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness. Abba, You tell us that you generously give wisdom to all who ask. Please grant us your wisdom and discernment and help us not to be wise in our own eyes. We know humility comes with wisdom, and pride is something you despise. Please transform us to be like Jesus and help us grow in your wisdom and ways. We want to be pleasing to you in all we think, do, and say.
Life is so short. We don’t want to waste our precious time on things that are not the best use of our time. Please help us learn to discern between what is good, better, and best. Please help us not stay stuck in places or circumstances you are trying to lead us out of, and help us learn to see our circumstances through your eyes. We know you equip us for what you call us to. Please help us and give us wisdom on using all the tools you’ve given us to fight our battles and overcome them. We know you have not called us to live defeated lives. Please help us learn to apply your truth and teachings so we can live abundantly and victoriously through Christ.
Father God, please forgive us for our sins. We humble ourselves before you today and ask you to empty us so we can be filled with more of you. Thank you for loving us. We love you and are thankful for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
Blessings be upon you, friends!
