Daily Prayer For January 18, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:54 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another day of life and another chance to join in prayer and bring all that concerns us to your throne of grace. Abba, you know there is so much wrong…so many things we wish we could change. We wonder, discuss, worry, and lament to ourselves and others about what needs to be done to correct things…but what we need more than anything is to bring our concerns, worries, fears, anger, and sadness to you.
We’re so grateful we can come to you like children and trust you as our Father to understand all that is going on that concerns us. We are thankful you are not scared, worried, or surprised by all that is happening in our world and lives. You are the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. You are not overwhelmed, intimidated, or daunted by anyone or anything. We are grateful you hold, protect, lead, guide, and speak words of comfort and encouragement to us. We thank you for your Word and promises that give us hope despite what is happening to us and around us. In their arrogance and foolishness, people think they can remove you, replace you, and eliminate your influence in this world. Still, we know how our story ends…how the story of this world ends, and we are grateful that nothing can circumvent your will and what is to come.
Circumstances may not change, but we change when we enter your courts with praise. We are thankful for the respite you offer us…that chaos, uncertainty, worry, and anxiety can’t exist in your presence. We are grateful for the peace, clarity, wisdom, and joy we find when we spend time with you. Thank you for your gifts that the world can’t give or take away. Thank you for being our sanctuary, safe harbor, and refuge. Thank you for allowing us to experience glimpses of your glory and what heaven will be like when there is no more suffering, sin, pain, loss, or evil to contend with. Thank you for all you offer and all you do for us as your children. Thank you for saving us, redeeming us, and working all things together for good for those who love you.
We love you, Father. We commit this day to you. We lay our burdens and concerns before you now. We ask for your will to be done and trust that you know what is best for each of us. With humble, grateful hearts, we ask these things in the name of our Savior and Messiah, Jesus. Amen.
May your day be peaceful, productive, and blessed, friends!
