Daily Prayer For January 21, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your grace that sustains us and your strength that replaces our weakness. Abba, you know better than anyone that grief and times of emotional upset are not just emotionally and mentally taxing but physically demanding and draining also. Today we pray for all who are struggling in the aftermath of losses and adversity. It can be frustrating when we have things to do but don’t feel up to doing what needs to be done. It can feel overwhelming when we know we need to rest and care for ourselves, yet there is so much we need to take care of.

Please help us take the steps we can to help ourselves, and then trust you to do in us what we can’t do for ourselves. Please help everyone dealing with a new normal find their equilibrium and move forward from where they are. We are grateful we can count on you to guide, hold, comfort, and watch over us as we process and work through the changes and challenges we face. Please heal us in every way we need healing, Abba. We ask the same for our friends and loved ones who are also going through hard things. Please lead us all beside still waters this weekend and restore our souls. Please fill our cups to overflowing with your peace, love, comfort, and joy.

Thank you for all you have done to carry us to this point. We cling to you and your promises that your grace is sufficient, you will turn our mourning to dancing, and you will bring beauty from ashes. We look to you, The God of All Comfort and Compassion. We know it is not by our power, strength, or might that we will triumph and overcome but by yours within us. Thank you for our Savior, Jesus, who understands our sorrows and promises to heal the brokenhearted and bind their wounds. Thank you for being our ever-present source of help and refuge in times of need. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
