Daily Prayer For January 2, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:46 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another chance to join together in prayer. Abba, you know it’s easy to say, “I trust you, Lord,” but it is harder to do. We pray our trust in you will grow greater and deeper this year. We want to face our challenges, losses, and adversity with faith instead of fear. We want to make worship and prayer our default responses instead of worry, fear, and anxiety. Please help us triumph this year over the things we have found difficult to overcome in the past. We know you want to see us succeed and overcome and for our souls to prosper as much as we want those things for ourselves. Please help us do what we can’t do in our strength and abilities and help us become more like Jesus.
You tell us we have not because we ask not, so Father, we ask for your help in our areas of weakness. We pray this year, with your help, we will be on fire for you, and we will see your hand move mightily in our hearts and lives. We ask the same for our friends and family. May people see you in us, Abba.
Please help us cherish and order our days and not squander our precious time, energy, and resources on unimportant things. Please help us live with an attitude of gratitude and with your joy and peace in our hearts and lives. We pray we will bring glory and honor to your name in all we think, say, and do.
Please help us with our to-do lists and schedules this week as we settle more normal routines after the holidays. Please lead and guide us as we commit this week to your hands. Thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we ask these things. Amen.
May you have a blessed and peace-filled week, friends!
