Daily Prayer For January 20, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:01 am
Hello, Friends! Here is an evening prayer …
Dear Heavenly Father,
You know evenings can be long and hard for those who have trouble sleeping. You see, everyone who finds it hard to shut down their mind and quiet their thoughts. You know all who don’t sleep well due to physical pain, insomnia, sleep apnea, medications, or other health conditions. You grieve along with those who struggle at night because they miss someone or deal with loneliness. You know how depression robs people of peaceful rest. You are up with every caregiver and parent who goes without sleep, and you see everyone with too much work, so they go without sleep.
Father, you see each need. You hear the silent pleadings and longings when sleep doesn’t come. You understand better than anyone how vital sleep is for all aspects of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. You tell us we have not because we ask not…so tonight, we intercede for all who need physical, emotional, or mental healing. We ask you to help anyone who doesn’t know how to relax or shut off their intrusive thoughts when they go to bed. We ask you to comfort all who are dealing with sadness, depression, and grief. May they find rest and comfort in your arms.
Please lead the way to comforting scriptures, encouragement, helpful information, resources, the right doctor, or anything that might be needed to find consistent restorative sleep. You know how difficult it is to get through our days. Please speak peace to all who read this prayer. We intercede on behalf of those we know who need help in this area. Please make a way where there seems to be no way and do what no one else can do. Please restore, replenish and renew all who are worn out and weary. May this be the day that everything changes and bad sleep and restless nights become a thing of the past. We thank you in advance for all you will do and give you all praise, glory, and honor. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.
Blessings be upon you and those you love!
