Daily Prayer For June 18, 2022
Fri Jun 24, 2022 3:00 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
The Bible says that you, our God, are in our midst. You are the Mighty Warrior who saves. You delight in us and rejoice over us with joy-filled songs. You quiet our fears with your love. When we read those words in the Bible, we can picture a parent sitting beside their child at night, singing them to sleep…comforting them and soothing their fears… drying their tears…speaking gentle words of assurance, so their last thoughts as they drift off will be the soothing sounds of a parent who loves and cares for them.
Children never know how many nights a parent sits in the dark, gazing lovingly at them, watching them breathe. They don’t know how many times a parent has rubbed their back and whispered tenderly in the dark, “it’s okay, I’m here.” We can’t begin to count all the times we’ve wiped away our children’s tears and reassured them that everything will be okay and you do the same for us.
Father, at this moment, may we be comforted as we picture you sitting beside us, singing over us and reminding us that all is well because you are near. May we find peace as we remember we are loved by you and under your watchful eye. We are grateful we can go to sleep at night without fear or worry because you are with us and never sleep or slumber. Our struggles, heartaches, losses, and pain will never have the last word over us when we remember you are our Abba Father.
At times we don’t hear your voice as loudly and clearly as we would like, but we are grateful that whether we can feel you or see signs of your nearness, you promise you are always with us, whispering your words of love and encouragement over us.
We love you, Father. Thank you for all you do for us and all that you are. With gratitude for the many ways you bless and care for us, we ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
May your dreams be sweet and your night full of peaceful rest!
