Daily Prayer For June 14, 2022
Fri Jun 24, 2022 2:53 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us to trust in you, and we will be blessed. You promise you will keep in perfect peace anyone who trusts in you. We’re told we don’t need to fear bad news when we trust you. As much as we wish this wasn’t so, we can’t learn to trust you just by reading about it or being told to do it. We know there are no shortcuts or quick ways to learn to trust. You know our hearts, Father… we fall so short of who we want to be and how we want to act. We want trust and faith to be our default responses instead of worry, anxiety, and fear. Please help us do better in this area so we will please you, be blessed, and have your peace.
We’re told that faith believes in what we can’t yet see. It means trusting in advance, that which will only make sense in reverse. Please help us have faith and trust like a child. Help us have faith like Abraham, who was willing to sacrifice his beloved Isaac because He trusted you. He didn’t know your plan, but He knew what you had promised.
We know we are being stretched right now in ways we’ve never been stretched. It’s not an easy or comfortable process, and if left up to us, we’d like the hard things to stop for a while. Thank you for knowing our hearts, our weaknesses, and how much we can endure with your help. We always think it’s so much less than what you show us we can do through your strength, grace, abilities, and power. We are grateful we will come through all of these hard times stronger, more resilient, and more like Jesus. We cling to your promises today that you will give us all we need for all we face.
We commit ourselves and our day into your hands, Father. We seek your will and not our own. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and help to keep persevering so we can finish our race well. We are so grateful for our Lord and Savior, Jesus, who makes all things possible. Amen.
Praying and believing good things for you, friends!
