Daily Prayer For June 15, 2022

Hello, Friends! I thought maybe some of you could use this prayer again today…
Dear Lord,
May your joy fill our hearts today. We pray thoughts of you will fill our day and dreams at night. Please give all who are hurting moments of laughter and happy memories to make them smile. Laughter is such good medicine for body, mind, and spirit, but our pain and the troubles that surround us tend to suppress any light-hearted and joy-filled moments. Help us intentionally seek out things that will make us smile and laugh, even for a few moments each day. You know, the physical, emotional, and mental benefits that come from such small efforts are enormous.
Please help us be more intentional about doing anything we can to help ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It’s hard to be motivated to do anything when life is hard. Please help us with our motivation, energy, stamina, and strength when it’s lacking. Depression, grief, and sadness can make us lethargic and keep us from sleeping well. You know how it all can become such a vicious circle. You see every area of our lives we need help with, Lord. Please help us rise like a phoenix from the hard places we find ourselves in. Help us remember each step forward is beneficial and adds up, no matter how small. Slow steps are better than no steps, and slow and steady will still get us where we need to be.
We thank you for your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for being our refuge, shelter, and sanctuary in the storms of life. We are grateful there is peace in your presence and worry, fear, and anxiety cannot exist where you are. Thank you for loving us so much you sent your Son, so those who believe in Him might have eternal life.
You know all that weighs heavy on us and all the things we continue to knock, seek and ask you about concerning ourselves, our loved ones, our country, and our world. We petition you again for your mercy and grace to fall like rain and for you to do what only you can. We thank you in advance for all you will do to help us overcome and prevail. Please bless everyone reading this in ways they can’t begin to imagine. It’s in the mighty and wonderful name of our Savior Jesus that we ask these things. Amen.
