Daily Prayer For May 27, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
This has been such a long, hard week. We are just drained between grief, sadness, shock, and a constant stream of negativity. Our hearts hurt. You know, so many have dealt with one thing after another for so long that they don’t remember what it feels like to not be tired, feel lighthearted, or have a good night’s sleep. They’ve just been in survival mode, and they need a break. With the holiday weekend here, many of us are thinking about people who are no longer with us, and we are sad. We miss them. It all feels like too much pain to bear…but what is too much for us is not too much for you.
You tell us to come to you when we are weary and heavy-laden, and you will provide us with rest. We need respite from the cares of the world, Abba Father. You know better than anyone where each of us is at. You see what no one else can see. You feel everything we feel. You have the answers and solutions to every situation we are dealing with and for every physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual need. We come to you and ask that you would hold us close, watch over us, and help us find healing, peaceful rest, replenishment, and restoration. We ask that as you sent help, sustenance, and sleep for Elijah that you would do the same for anyone praying that needs the same. We pray that you would renew in us the joy of our salvation…that your joy would be our strength…that you would restore what the locusts have eaten and what the enemy has stolen.
We know nothing is impossible for you, and when we come to the end of our reserves, we find yours. We come on bended knee, with outstretched arms and open hands, and ask you to fill our cups, Abba. May your Living Water spring up like a well and flow through us like a river to quench the dry places within us. Please give us our daily bread and all we need to sustain ourselves. You are The Vine. We are the branches, and we know we can’t survive without you. You tell us you will turn none away who come to you, and we will find all we need in you. On this day, we look to you as children who come to their Father when they need comfort and help. We know where our help comes from, and it is from you alone.
Thank you for being our shelter and place of refuge. Thank you for never turning us away and never being too busy. We know the answer to every promise is yes and amen, and so we thank you in advance for all you will do. With gratitude and love, we humbly ask for these things in the name of Jesus, who makes all things new. Amen.
Praying blessings over you, friends!
