Daily Prayer For May 26, 2022
Fri Jun 24, 2022 2:31 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of life. The events of this week serve to remind us how fleeting and fragile life is…how all it takes is one moment to change our lives forever…and none of us are promised tomorrow. Please help us make the most of our days.
You know everything that is going on in our world and lives that is upsetting and distressing. You know how easy it is to become immobilized with grief, fear, uncertainty, and anxiety over what the future may hold. Please help us remember that while it looks like things are falling apart, things are falling into place to fulfill your plans and prophecies. Please help us keep in mind that nothing happens you haven’t foreseen. You see each sparrow that falls, you know each star by name, the number of hairs on our heads, and you have seen each of our days before we have lived even one. We are thankful for your promise to be with us in all we face. Please help us drown our fears in the truth and power of your promises.
We are comforted to know you are still on the throne and haven’t relinquished your authority. We are thankful for the peace you give us…for the provision you offer us…for the wisdom you impart to us…for your angels that surround us…for the Holy Spirit who comforts us, and for Christ’s resurrection power that is within us. Please help us remember we are not under our circumstances but under the shelter of your protective wing and watchful eye.
Please help us not to hold too tightly to the things of this world and remember that our citizenship is in heaven. Please help us be outspoken and diligent with speaking your words of hope, truth, life, and encouragement to ourselves and others during these difficult times.
We are grateful you are with us always, and your grace is sufficient for all we face. Thank you for your promise to comfort those who mourn…to be near to the broken hearted and to bind their wounds and replace our weakness with your strength. We look to you as our Comforter, Healer, Deliverer, and The One who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. We lay everything before you, Father, and commit this day to you in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen.
May you feel His comfort, peace, and nearness today, friends.
