Daily Prayer For May 25, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

Our hearts are heavy today over the tragedies that have been happening with increasing frequency. Every life matters, and every life is precious, but when innocent children are targeted victims, it makes the losses that much more egregious and heartbreaking.

Lord, we ask for your grace and mercy to fall like rain on all who have lost loved ones. Please wrap your comforting arms around all who mourn. We pray for all who have been injured and ask for your healing hand to be upon them. We pray for all who have been impacted and traumatized by yesterday’s tragedy in Texas and other recent tragedies. We pray people will find you to be the source of hope, comfort, and strength we know you to be.

We pray many people will come to know you as Lord and Savior and realize your gospel is the good news we all need to cling to amid these dark days and heartbreaking tragedies. You are the Savior this broken and lost world needs. Please reveal yourself, Lord. May people see you for who and what you are…The Way, Truth, and Life…The Light of The World, our Redeemer, and our Deliverer. You are the hope and change the world needs to see. People pray for peace, but we can’t have peace apart from you, The Prince of Peace.

We pray for a spiritual awakening in our world. We pray that good will triumph over evil. We pray the lost would come to know you and be changed by your love so people could love their neighbors as themselves and treat each other the way they would want to be treated.

May your love and light flow through us, Lord, and be a healing balm to those around us and point the way to you. Please help us become mighty prayer warriors actively engaged in prayer on behalf of lost souls and those who seek to eliminate you from our lives and world.

Your Word tells us all that would happen in the last days, and we are seeing so much unfolding before us. You tell us not to be surprised or afraid but to look up as our redemption draws near. Please help us treasure all you’ve given us and take nothing for granted. Please help us live and love well and serve you well. We grieve, Lord, but we are thankful we can grieve with hope. We thank you for the promise that one day, there will be no more evil, sin, death, tears, or loss. Please be our strength and help us keep pressing on until that day. In the name of our Savior Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.
