Daily Prayer For May 16, 2022

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
You know it can be a battle to take our thoughts captive with everything happening in our world. When dealing with grief, loss, adversity, and illness, our minds and bodies are already overloaded trying to cope and adjust to the myriad of ways those things impact us. It often takes extra effort and energy to get through our days, focus our thoughts, and calm our minds. Trying to cope with our personal struggles and all that is going on in the world often leaves us feeling emotionally, mentally, and physically drained.
Please lead us beside still waters and restore, revive, and renew us in every way we need. When our mind tells us, “this is too much, or I can’t handle this,” help us counter our feelings with your Word that says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Help us remember what we can’t do in our own abilities or strength; we can do through yours. May your words of truth ring continuously in our ears and saturate our minds until they are intertwined with every thought we have.
Please help us be at peace as we remember you are with us and working in every circumstance, heartache, and loss. You’ve seen all of our days before we’ve lived even one. You know precisely what to do to help us triumph and overcome. We may feel ill-equipped, but you don’t. We may feel drained, but you don’t. We may feel stressed and easily overcome by sadness, but you don’t. We are so grateful that more rests on your shoulders than our own…that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is inside us…that we can do all things through your strength. We are so thankful we do not battle or walk alone. Thank you for helping us through difficult days. Thank you for the provision, healing, and restoration that is coming. Thank you for the comfort, compassion, and closeness you offer us today and every day of our lives. We are so grateful for all you do to provide for us and sustain us. Father, we lay everything before you. We ask to find rest, peace, shelter, and comfort in your presence. We are grateful we can come to you with these requests in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen.
May God’s peace fill you, and His blessings be upon you!
