Daily Prayer For May 1, 2022
Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:28 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are grateful there is no place we can go where you are not there…that there is no pit so deep, that your love, grace, and mercy cannot reach down and shine on us and turn the darkness into light…that you are always patient and eager to help. We are thankful you never force us, fail us, and never let go of our hands.
We bow before you today and ask you to create a right spirit within us. We are grateful we don’t have to wait until our circumstances are good to be at peace. What a wonderful Father you are. All you ask from us to experience your peace is to give you our cares, sorrows, fears, questions, anxieties, and turmoil and focus on you and not the things that trouble us. We pray we will get better at handing things over to you and looking at things in light of your promises instead of our limited perspective.
Please help us find the courage we need to step out in faith and trust you in areas we struggle with. Please help us learn to praise you amid adversity and come to know you in the same way that Job, Daniel, Joseph, David, the apostles, and other heroes of faith did. We want to be able to speak from first-hand knowledge that Your joy is available for all who have faith in you and dare to trust and believe beyond what we can see or feel. We are grateful you are good, even when our circumstances are not…that You are faithful, even when we are not…that You will keep redeeming and renewing and cleansing and purifying us until the day we are called home.
Thank you for the hope you give us that one day all the wrongs will be made right…that one day, we will see everything that has been clouded and hidden from our vision…that one day we will fully understand how all these trials and all the adversity worked for our good and your glory. We thank you that by the blood of Jesus, we are made whole, pure, holy, and blameless. We love you, Father. We are grateful for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray, Amen.
May the Lord bless you, keep you, and make his face shine upon you, friends!
