Daily Prayer For January 31, 2018
Wed Jan 31, 2018 1:59 pm
Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
During difficult times, help us to remember your Word…your Word was written to give us hope, encouragement, and courage…when we think of people like Job and your apostles, they faced every kind of loss and hardship…they had times of great discouragement where they despaired of life…yet they kept pressing into you, clinging to you and trusting you…may we find our hope in our beloved Savior who reaches out to us with His nail-pierced hands and says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, even until the end of the age.”
We are grateful that we are not alone, we are not forgotten, we are not defenseless…the enemy likes to keep pounding us with one thing after another and he always goes after us where we are weakest and most vulnerable…he wants us to feel discouraged…like we are defeated, abandoned and helpless…please help us to remember that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is within us…Your Spirit is our great source of comfort that ministers to us in our greatest times of need…it’s your Spirit and presence that allowed the apostles to sing while imprisoned and allowed them to keep pressing on when it would have been easier to give up…help us to remember that this life and it’s trials are like a vapor compared to eternity and they can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming…our Redeemer lives and He has not brought us this far to fail us or forget us now.
May our hearts be full of hope and joy even in the midst of difficult days…the storms may rage…our hearts may grieve and be heavy…but we are not crushed… you are in control and sitting on the throne and no matter what may come against us, you are for us and with us and we can get through this day and every day to come because we can do all things through Christ who gives us His strength.
Thank you Lord…thank you. Please be with all who need encouragement…be with those who don’t know what to do next or where to turn…be with those who are battle weary…help each one to find your shelter, comfort, rest, healing, restoration and peace. Things aren’t over until you say they are over…you’re not through writing our stories and you always have the last word!
In the name above all names we ask these things. Amen
Blessings be upon you friends! Keep looking up. Our redemption draws near.
