Daily Prayer For January 2, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
We thank you for the clean slate that lies before us. Lord, we ask that you would cleanse us and purify us… we thank you that through Christ, we are made white and pure as snow. We thank you for your grace. We thank you that we are not defined by our past or our mistakes. Help us to believe that as long as we have breath, it’s never too late to improve ourselves, our lives, our health or our relationships…help us to hear your voice and may your Words and truth heal us and change us.
Help us to draw close to you so we can be confident of your will and direction in our lives. Help us not to waste a single day dwelling on things that we can’t change. Help us not to be anxious or full of guilt or fear. Help us to face this year with boldness knowing that you, the God of all Creation, is standing beside us and we cannot fail with you by our side. Help us to worry less about what others think or say about us…We give you all our difficult situations…the unchangeable past…all the things that might happen in the future…we lay everything before you and we ask to exchange them for your peace.
Help us as we move forward in this new year to let go of our sins, our failures, any anxiety, any fear, any regrets, any self-condemnation and any second-guessing ourselves or others…help us to see ourselves as we are in your eyes…new creations who are loved and cherished by you. We love you, Lord and we are grateful that you will be with us every step of the way in this new year. Have your way with us, that we might bear much good fruit for you and your Kingdom. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
