Daily Prayer For December 5, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Help us to see our trials as opportunities to know you better…to know you in new ways…to see your hand at work in our lives. We don’t want to stay stuck in our pain, our grief and our brokenness…. We don’t want to fixate on all the things we don’t have… we want to rejoice in all we have been given…we want to see the blessings in the midst of our trials…please help us to do that, Lord… help us to remember that this life is just to prepare us for eternity… We grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Our suffering is creating an opportunity for you to show yourself in the midst of our circumstances…help us to look to you with anticipation for all the good you will do as you fulfill your promises and do what only you can do…
Lord, many of the people reading this, feel broken and discouraged… help them to remember that there is power in your name…that there is healing in your name… there is hope in your name. Yours is the name above all names…you are The Bright and Morning Star… Emmanuel, our Savior, our Redeemer, The Prince of Peace, The Way, Truth and Life and The Light of The World… You are our strength and our song. Though the world may storm and rage around us, may all be calm and bright in our hearts this day. May we remember all that we have to be thankful for…may we remember the many times you have saved us, helped us and answered our prayers …as long as we have breath, we are works of art in The Sculptor’s hands…Help us to remember that things aren’t over until you say they are over…you are still doing miracles, still healing, still hearing, still working from on high and you alone have the last word in our lives and in this world. We may grow weary, but we are not defeated… we are not down for the count, we are not crushed…we are yours and you are ours and we are beloved children of The Most High God. We love you Lord and ask you to order our day.In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
