Daily Prayer For December 4, 2016
Sun Dec 04, 2016 10:13 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the strength you give us to get through our days. Lord, when you were here on earth you found the need to be alone and the need for rest… but too often instead of following your example, we feel guilty for needing to rest… it’s healthy and necessary for us to take time out to recharge, and you made us with the need to do so… Help each of us to make time for rest, relaxation and fellowship with you and those we love. Please give us the wisdom to know how to do this when we have full plates and many demands on us.
We pray for the discipline to rest and spend quiet time with you, especially during this Christmas season. The demands on our time increase and the things that usually suffer the most are our sleep and our time with you. Lord, please help us to keep our priorities straight. May we adjust our calendar and schedules in a way that glorifies you…help us to remember that pleasing you, should take precedence above all else.
We ask for help for all the single parents, caregivers, special needs parents who have so many things weighing and pulling on them… we especially pray for all who do these things while dealing with health issues of their own… We ask for you to bring help in the form of people who see a need and are moved with compassion to serve as unto you. Lord, for all those who are having to work extra jobs or extra hours to make ends meet, we pray you would make a way for them… For all who struggle with health and mental health issues, grief , insomnia, injuries and other things that cause diminished energy and their “to do” just keeps growing…for those who constantly feel behind, and overwhelmed …. we ask for your divine help and intervention. Lord, for all the situations that don’t have easy solutions and seem hopeless, we call on you to do what only you can do …Lord, we know nothing is too hard for you and we are to come to you with our burdens…we are to give you are impossible situations and trust them to you…
Please grant us the strength, energy and courage to face everything in front of us…We know you are beside us and that you are faithful and we thank you in advance for your loving provision. Please go before us and may we feel a burst of strength and power as you fill us with Your Spirit. May we find joy in our hearts when we think of your birth and all that means for us.
In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.
