Daily Prayer For December 19, 2016
Mon Dec 19, 2016 3:38 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we gather in prayer, we ask you to empty us …empty us of all of our cares and worries… empty us of all the things that distract us from your presence and rob us of your joy and peace…empty us of unrealistic expectations…empty us of anything that is not pleasing to you, Father and then fill us with things of you…fill us with your Spirit, your hope, your joy, your peace, your wisdom, your grace and your love.
Please hold close to your heart all who are ill, hurting or grieving… may they feel your comfort and nearness. We ask Father, that in the stillness of this moment that they would be able to speak with you of their deepest feelings and emotions. May they have confidence in who you are and the relationship you have with your children…you love us and encourage us to speak freely, openly and honestly with you…you don’t want us to hold anything back…You tell us to come boldly to your throne of grace… your ear is attentive and you will not cast us aside… you will never be too busy for us…you have a heart of compassion towards your children…our pain is your pain, our grief your grief…our well being is always on your mind…
May each of us find release and healing from grief, sadness, loneliness, shame, guilt, sin, anguish, fear, anxiety, worry, depression, anger, bitterness and every bad experience or stronghold that stubbornly refuses to let go of it’s grip on our lives. We ask you to bring healing and give us a new vision…turn a new page… open a new door… close the doors that need to stay closed…please have your way with us so we can live life to the fullest and be the people you want us to be.
Father, please bring hope and give us the strength to cling to your truth and your unfailing love for us. May we have a deep faith and trust in you like Job did…help us to persevere in the face of hardship, difficulty and loss. Thank you for your patience with us when we get discouraged. Thank you for understanding and for being there to pick us up and dust us off when we stumble and fall. Thank you for your faithfulness and for believing in us when we can’t even believe in ourselves. We love you, Lord. We thank you that we can ask these things in the name of our wonderful Savior, Jesus. Amen
Blessings be upon you!
