Daily Prayer For September 14, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray for your guidance, wisdom and knowledge today. The enemy is working over time to cause division in families, in churches,in communities and between friends…please help us not to get hung up on petty things and quarrels. Help us to rise above negativity. Please give us discernment to know what things to let go of and what things we need to speak up about. Your word is so clear that we are not to get involved with unedifying controversies that bring about strife. We are told that you don’t want us to be argumentative… you want us to be kind and to speak your truth in love.
Please help us to have patience with the difficult people in our lives. Remind us to constantly pray for them. Help us to try to reach out to those we don’t understand and please give us the wisdom and discernment to know when to reach out, when to back off and when to either set up boundaries, or to walk away from a situation entirely. May people see you in us… help us to see others as you see them…
Please give us discernment to realize who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and who might be in our lives that should not be. Train us and teach us, so we can avoid those situations and people who will be a constant source of conflict and stress…help us to avoid situations that will drain us and upset us to the point we are unable to carry out the things we need to do. Help us to be wise stewards with our time and energy so we don’t take time from something good and waste it on something with no gain or benefit. Help us to learn to let go of the toxic things in our lives…help us to be emotionally healthy… help us to have emotionally healthy relationships and healthy boundaries in every area of our lives.
Lord, we pray to draw close to you so we can hear your voice. We ask that you would be our first thought when we wake in the morning and our last thought before we fall asleep. We pray that people will see your light shining forth from us. Help us to point the way to you in all that we say and do and may we bring glory to your name. Please go before us today, Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
