I got my code. He said I could download it. Now do I need to remove my Download Folders and all before I do this?

Yes, if you want to save all your cc then you would need to remove those folders before you start it up. Play it for about 20 minutes so the game has generated the necessary files then stop the game and swap out the folders.
Congratulations that you now have the Sims 2 on digital!

Afternoon Ladies! Well, Bad News, then Good News. There's noooo way I'll be able to add my hoods, saved sims and all. I did some addition research and a lot of peeps are not happy with the fact, you lose creating your own hoods or even playing your precious ones; making your own simmies and a few peeps were saying the downloads were not working, etc...
After chatting with you Cinda, I went online to see if there was a way to play my hoods. After he understood that I did have Backups of all of my old games he said that I could do this:
1. Click on Documents.
2. Click on Electronics folder.
3. Click on the Sims 2 folder.
3. Click on the Saves folder.
Then I should be able to place my hoods there. Well, after I said my "Goodbyes", I followed his steps and low and behold,,,, 'No Saves' folder - anywhere. I even tried inserting the dang thing, nothing. I even created folders for on top of folders of what I thought it should be and nothing. Lost count how many times I uninstalled/reinstalled the game, but nothing...
Logged back into the Help session and told him. He said that I needed the Saves folder in order to play my hoods. I checked the one for Sims 4 and did see a Saves folder for that game, but nothing for the Sims 2.
Anywhooo, I thought about checking to see if anyone else had a solution, and that's when I came across the comments from other folks,,,,, soooo, Good News is, I reloaded my game back the way it was and it's working. I loaded my Belladonna Cove and all is there working like a charm. So I'm gonna just play my game as is, ohhhh another thing that I found out.
I would not be able to use my Body Shop, as it would not be available in the Ultimate version. Sooo I'm good. I want to be able to build lots and hoods, the Ultimate is just not gonna work for me. I wanna be able to get into my hoods, build and play my simmies.. I''ll just need to ensure my cd last for a LifeTime.

Hi BB, I've been meaning to get back with you about this, but I've been busy in the kitchen making homemade beef stew. Mmmm, smells good!
First of all, let me say that EA support really doesn't know that much about how the Sims 2 game runs, the simming community does. I did a little digging and found some solutions over on Sims Wiki and from others experiencing the same problems. So all is not lost... and there is Body Shop in The Sims 2 UC. You have to dig a little for it, but it's there and operational. Go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Origin Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection/Fun with Pets/SP9/CSBin. Then right-click on TS2Bodyshop.exe and select Send to desktop. That's all it takes to get Body Shop.
If you're not disgusted with it, we can still try to get it running for you using those tips from Sims Wiki.

Hi Hun! Well, I was pretty much done with it and I want to be able to play my game with not issues. I really appreciate you doing all of this research for me, but you know what? I've already loaded my game back and I don't think I want to chance it again. Just too much of a hassle and it makes me cranky when my game is not working right. I wanna make sure I can load my cc's, lots and simmies. I just don't think that will happen for me with the ultimate.
Anyway, getting things ready for my daughter and granddaughter tonite. We are having pizza and snacks to enjoy the return of "Empire" and "Big Brother". Thanks again hun and have a wonderful evening.
