Daily Prayer For May 14, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Our Father,
There are so many tragedies in the news today…and we know even though the world quickly moves on to the next news story, there are still many who are trying to cope, survive and recover from disasters, wars, and tragedies that are no longer in the news but are still impacting their lives. You tell us to pray for one another and grieve with those who grieve. People may be nameless and sometimes even faceless to us, but everyone is seen and known by you. We ask for your comfort, help, and divine intervention for all who are dealing with the aftermath of acts of nature, evil acts, tragedies, and losses.
Recovering after losses of any kind is not easy. So much we deal with in life doesn’t have quick fixes. We are grateful that you understand when others don’t. We are thankful that you remain after others have turned away or moved on. Jesus was a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief. We can only imagine you both are grieving with all you see happening in the world. We are grateful that our burdens, pain, and grief are not too much for you to bear or carry. Thank you for your loving care for us and for being an ever-present source of help in times of trouble. We are grateful we are never alone, forgotten, or abandoned by you.
Thank you for the hope you give. You say we are crushed but not destroyed…that you will provide us with the oil of joy for mourning and a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness. You will comfort us and give us gladness for sorrow…that weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. We are so blessed to know that Your Word will never return void, your promises are true, and they are for each of us. We are grateful that joy is coming…that restoration is coming, and that renewal and life after loss will come when we put our faith and trust in you.
Please bless each one who is praying with us. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We give you all glory, praise, and honor. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
May you feel His nearness and comfort today, friends!
