Daily Prayer For June 27, 2019
Fri Jun 28, 2019 2:23 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Father,
We ask that you help us to be slow to speak and slow to anger…whether we have been wrongly accused, verbally abused, mocked or mistreated. You tell us that as it was done to you, that it will happen to us…it should come as no surprise, that even when we say and do everything right, there will be those who find fault and a reason to complain. Help us to forgive as you forgive and love as you love. We ask for your wisdom to know when to speak up and when to stay silent.
Help us not to become bitter or divisive. We see Christians attacking other Christians because they don’t believe like they do, or even because they use a different translation of the Bible. Many are quick to judge and assume the things that they hear or read about someone is true… yet oftentimes it is not. So many people even within the Body of Christ are slandered and falsely accused, judged and gossiped about and the enemy wins by wounding and dividing us. May our first response be to pray for the things we see and hear about that are troubling.
We all have sinned and fallen short Lord, please forgive us for the times we’ve blown it and help us to do better. Convict us where we are wrong. Make us mindful that we are responsible for the things that we say and do, especially in your name. You tell us to love even our enemies. We can disagree with something or someone and not be disrespectful. You want us to be mindful of the language and the tone that we use. We ask for your wisdom and your knowledge and for you to lead and guide us. Help us to remember that we represent you.
Please go before us. Lead and guide us in all that we say and do. Help us to love our neighbor as ourselves and to treat others the way we want to be treated. May we be a positive influence on those around us. We are in this world, but not of it, so help us to always strive to be a good ambassador for you. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
Blessings and hugs to you all!
