Daily Prayer For June 3, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
No matter where we are today, no matter what we are doing, we are called to do everything as unto you…we are to seek to please you alone. We are to love you and seek to bring glory and honor to you, even in the midst of our pain, in the midst of loss, in the midst of uncertainty and adversity and anything else that touches our lives…good or bad. We know that a day spent serving you, is better than a thousand pain-free days serving ourselves. You are The Source of every comfort, consolation, and encouragement. You comfort us in every trouble and affliction so we can comfort others with the same comfort you give us.
There will always be people in our lives who are like Job’s friends…people who don’t understand what we are going through or dealing with, yet they speak against us as they think they see, understand and know better than we do what is going on in our lives…sometimes we encounter people who are well-intentioned, but they say and do hurtful things that compound our pain and distress…we all at some point, deal with people who are mean and judgemental…please help us to remember when we are faced with the hurtful words and actions of others that we have no control over what others say or do…but we do have control over how we choose to react and respond… we don’t have to allow those things to destroy our hearts and make us bitter and angry…we can put up healthy boundaries and guard our hearts and minds with your truth… we can give you our wounds and pain and allow you to heal us…we can choose whose voice and truth we allow to become our inner voice…these things aren’t easy, but we know we can do all things through Christ and this is an area where you long us to walk in your freedom. Help us to remember that Jesus dealt with the same things and He was perfect.
Thank you for going before us and standing beside us in all that we face…help us not to worry about the opinions of others…help us to do our best and leave everything else in your hands. We are grateful you know the truth in every situation and one day you will make right all the wrongs. Please help us to grow in your knowledge, truth, and grace so we may never be a source of pain to others by saying or doing the wrong things. Please lead us, guide us and instruct us so we will be more like you in every area of our lives. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
