Daily Prayer For June 17, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You are the God of hope, peace, and love. Please fill our hearts with your joy and peace and help us to trust in you so that our hearts may overflow with your hope. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and may we walk confidently and boldly knowing that we are held and loved by you, the Creator of the universe, who knows each star by name and the number of hairs on our heads. Remind us when we feel weak and weary to come to you to find rest and refreshment. Help us to claim and lay hold of your promises before we try to do things in our own power and strength. Help us to remember the gifts and tools you give us to not only survive but to thrive under any condition. Help us to live in expectation of seeing your goodness and faithfulness.

Help us not to worry or be anxious about anything, to pray about everything, and to thank you for all things. Help us not to lean on our own understanding as our perceptions and feelings are not always accurate. Help us to seek your wisdom, knowledge, and discernment in all things and to acknowledge you in all our ways, that we may walk in your truth and on the path that you think is best for us.

Please guard our hearts and minds and fill us with your words of comfort and truth. May we be filled with your light and love and may it overflow onto all around us. May we wash our wounds in your Word so we may find comfort and healing. May we trust you for our needs and find rest as we wait for your timing in all things. Strengthen us, Lord. Work within us to accomplish your will and purposes for our lives. Help us to be more like Jesus. Help us to draw closer to you than we have ever been. May we see signs of your nearness. Remind us to take time to look around at the beauty of your world…may we be like children and be in awe of your creativity in all that you’ve created in our world. May we be sensitive to the needs of those around us. Lead us to those who need an encouraging word or to be reminded that they are loved and that they are seen. Please work in us and through us for your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus that we ask these things. Amen
