Daily Prayer For June 21, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
You tell us in your Word that if we ask anything according to your will, you will hear us. Please teach us and show us how to align our prayers and our lives with your will. Fill us with the knowledge of your will and grant us spiritual wisdom and understanding. Help us to grow in our faith and to be wise with spiritual maturity. There is so much more for each of us to learn. So many areas that we can improve in. So many blessings and promises that we don’t know about, but are ours to claim. May your Holy Spirit lead and guide us when we don’t know what to pray or what to ask for.
You tell us not to lean on our own understanding, but in all of our ways to acknowledge you and you shall direct our paths. Our own understanding is so limited when compared to yours. Our own understanding and perceptions are often clouded by our emotions, by our limited view, and by our personal experiences. Open the eyes of our heart. Instruct us in the ways that we should go. Help us to be more like Jesus. Give us an overwhelming desire to know you better. May we thirst for righteousness and hunger for more of you.
The longer we live, the shorter the days seem and the faster time seems to slip away. When we are young we can’t understand how our lives are like a vapor…here today and gone tomorrow…but the older we get, the more we realize how true that is…help us to number our days and to treasure them. Give us a desire to finish our race well. Help us to use our gifts, skills, and talents to accomplish all you want us to accomplish for your glory. Help us to fulfill the destiny that you know is possible.
Help us not to put you in a box or limit the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. You see potential in us that we don’t. You know what we are capable of with your help. You know the plans you have for us that are beyond anything we can think, dream or imagine. Help us to hear your voice, to follow your lead and to embrace the calling that you have for each of us. Help us, Lord, to do better and be better. We want to hear when we see you face to face, “well done, good and faithful servant.” Help us to rise above our failures, disappointments, and discouragement. Heal us, Lord and we will be healed. Help us to be the best versions of ourselves that we can possibly be. Thank you for working all things together for our good and for your glory. In the name of Jesus, we ask all of these things. Amen
May your heart be full of His joy and excitement for what your future holds!
