Daily Prayer For June 15, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
As we gather together today, many are hurting as they are missing loved ones. Father, please comfort each one. May they feel your nearness and presence. You tell us that you comfort all who are mourn… that you are near to the brokenhearted and you bind their wounds and collect their tears…thank you for being our ever-present source of help and strength, no matter what we face.
Paul in his letter to the Philippians, encouraged them, and us, to rejoice in all things…he wrote while imprisoned and chained to a jailer 24/7…he wrote not knowing if he would be condemned to die when he went before the court…yet, he could say that he had joy because He knew the peace and mind of Christ…he knew of the joyful things that awaited him as a believer…he knew that to be absent from the body was to be present with you and he was content, no matter what his circumstances, because he knew that you were being glorified in him whether he was imprisoned or preaching somewhere…he lived to serve you and to share the good news of the gospel…he endured beatings, stonings, shipwrecks, imprisonment, he had times where he was hungry and was hunted…yet he was able to rejoice and say that all of that was worth knowing Jesus.
Thank you for the examples you’ve given us of people like Paul who had great faith that inspires us during our own times of hardship and pain…thank you for showing us that it is possible to have your joy and peace even in times of adversity, hardship, and loss…thank you for giving us teaching and guidance so we know how to find your peace…so we learn how to quiet our minds from anxious and fearful thoughts and so we can live with hope in our hearts…please help us to dig deeper into your Word so we can guard our hearts and minds and to grow to be more like Jesus. Help us to have Jesus’ heart and mind and to find His peace that the world can’t give or take away and to have His joy, that is our strength and defies our circumstances.
Thank you for being so faithfully attentive to us and our needs. Thank you for the times of refreshment and respite you give us in the midst of hard times. Thank you for your Spirit that is with us to comfort us and guide us. We are grateful that Jesus is interceding for us…what an amazing thing to think that He utters our name and prays over us. We are so very blessed to be loved by you. Thank you, Lord. We gratefully and humbly praise you and offer our prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen
May you be encouraged, comforted and blessed friends!
