Daily Prayer For June 29, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

You tell us if we hunger, to come to you because You are the Bread of Life. You tell us if we thirst, to come to you because you are the Living Water and you will fill us. You tell us if we are tired and weary, to come to you and you will give us rest. You tell us if we are troubled, to come to you and you will give us your peace. You tell us not to let our hearts be troubled or afraid because you are with us. You promise us many wonderful things, but often those promises require us to take an action step of faith or obedience on our part to see the fulfillment of your promises in our lives. Help us to do the things you ask us to do.

It’s so easy for us to forget your promises and commands when the worries and sorrows of the world come against us. We listen to the lies that are whispered to us by the enemy. We lose sight of you and have tunnel vision … we only see the problems around us and not you or the bigger picture that you see.

Please help us to remember your Word. Help us to remember to seek your perspective and to not rely on our own. You tell us not to lean on our own understanding because our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions are fallible. When our minds scream, “I can’t” may your Spirit within us remind us, “that you can, and we can do all things through you”. Help us in our weakness and forgive us when we diminish your power and strength and question the things that you say are possible. Please continue to renew our heart’s and mind’s so they will be more like Christ and aligned with your will.

Please go before us today. For every fearful, stressed, hurting or worried mind, may they find your peace and feel your comforting presence. Please heal and provide for us as only you can. May we be drawn into close fellowship and communion with you today. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
