Promises For The Broken Hearted - Psalm 34:18

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
- Psalm 34:18

People with hurting hearts tend to believe that God must be far away when they are in pain, but this verse shows nothing can be further from the truth. If you look at the people who Jesus was drawn to while on earth, it was not the rich and the seemingly well off. He went to the grieving, the ill, the poor, the lonely and the outcasts. The Lord is full of loving kindness and compassion towards His children. When we draw near to Him, He draws near to us…He pours Himself into us to heal us, to comfort us and to bring hope and peace into our lives.

Regardless of your feelings or perceptions, trust God’s promises that He is not only near to you, but that He will save you.
