Daily Prayer For January 10, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord God,

We come before you today and we lift up those who are in need of compassion…for those who long for a kind and encouraging word… for those who are feeling lonely and isolated…We pray for those who are victims of bullying, abuse and persecution …we pray for your divine intervention, Lord. We ask that you would bring people who are strong and unafraid to defend them and to intervene on their behalf…We pray for those who verbally abuse …for those who build themselves up by tearing others down…for those who lie, gossip and smear the reputations of others… we ask that you would convict them and lead them to repent and to stop their hurtful ways…we ask that you would bind the enemy that he could no longer work in their thoughts and minds. May they find you and be cleansed by you and be filled with loving kindness towards others. For those who have been victims of lies, deceit, betrayal and gossip, we pray for the truth to be revealed…we ask for deliverance, healing, restoration and redemption…may they find peace in you and trust that you will smooth out the rocky roads and lead them to a cleared reputation. May they take comfort in the fact that you know the truth, you see every hurtful and wrong deed perpetrated against them and one day you will make right all the wrongs.

Jesus was falsely accused, gossiped about and slandered…He who was perfect, dealt with the same issues. No matter what He did right, others found fault. Help us to remember that sometimes no matter how hard we try to do the right things, there will be people who will take things wrong, misunderstand, judge wrongly and harshly and just not like us…help us to remember that for many difficult people, the issue is with them, not us. Help us to do our best each day, Lord and then leave the things and people that we are helpless to change in your hands.

For every person who knows the pain of rejection, the pain of being lied to, and about… for those who are misunderstood… for those who suffer because they have disabilities that others can’t see and are judged … for those who have found themselves abandoned in their darkest hour…Lord, we ask for each one of these that you would bind their wounds and we ask for restoration and healing of their hearts and minds. Please bring people into their lives that can help them learn to trust again and be the hands and feet of Jesus to them.

We look forward to the day Lord, when there will be no more hurtful words, rejection, lies or deceit…but until we see that day, use us Lord to help others… one life at a time. We love you Lord and we thank you for working in us and through us. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
