Daily Prayer For January 1, 2016
Fri Jan 01, 2016 7:30 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Gracious Heavenly Father,
We thank you for this new day…the first day of a new year. Lord, we recommit our lives to you. We ask for your power to flow through us. We ask for you to fill us with your Living Water and cleanse us and forgive us that we might lead lives that are pleasing to you. We ask that you would continue the healing, transformative work that you have begun in each of us. For those who are in pain physically, emotionally or mentally, we ask for your healing hand to be upon us. We ask for your comfort and the strength to carry on during the difficult days… we pray that this year we will be better at being content in all things and to rejoice in all things. We ask that people would be set free from the things that tie them down and hold them back. May this be the year that we truly live and experience your overcoming power in our lives and live in the fullness of your joy.
We ask that you would help us to be valiant, brave warriors in the battles we will face. We ask for your help to engrave your words of truth on the tablets of our hearts. May we hear your voice above all others. May we trust your word above everything else. May we keep a heavenly perspective in all that we do and may we never grow so impatient that we settle for less than your best for us. Make us men and women after your own heart, Lord.
We lift up our leaders to you, Lord… We pray for those in leadership who are Christ followers…please give them fearless, bold hearts of courage to loudly make a stand for you. We pray that leaders will come to know you in real and life changing ways and that they will then seek to serve you in the roles that you’ve given them. Lord, please use believers everywhere to be lights in the darkness that point the way to you. May we experience your peace and joy like never before…may we be conduits of your peace, love and joy…may we be convicted to be mighty prayer warriors not for just our family and friends, but for the world at large.
Lord, a new year offers the chance of new beginnings and renewed hope… Help us to dream big and not put you in a box. You are a big God…much bigger than anything we will ever face. We seek to know you more… We seek to experience all that you have for us. Help us to rise from the ashes and trust as you mold and shape us into Christ’s image. You tell us we have not because we ask not, so we ask for your favor and your blessing to be upon us and our loved ones, Lord. We ask for you to open your store houses and meet our financial needs. Please pour out your grace and mercy and heal and restore our bodies, our families, our broken hearts and shattered lives . Please bring peace and calm where there is chaos and may those who don’t know you find you as their Savior this year.
Lead us from the dark valleys into your glorious light, Lord. We look forward to all you have for us in this coming year. We love you and we are so grateful for you and for all you’ve given us. We praise you and thank you in the name of our Savior Jesus, Amen.
Praying God’s richest blessings upon you!
