Daily Prayer For February 16, 2023
Tue Mar 07, 2023 2:39 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being so good to us and for loving us so well. Abba, you know many of us have been deceived and hurt by the enemy when it comes to matters of love. We ask that you would help us cast aside the hurtful words and actions of others. Please help us let go of what society says we need to be and do to be loveable and acceptable. The world’s ideas about love are often so twisted and stray so far from what you say.
Please help us meditate on your Word night and day so we don’t fall for the lies and traps of the enemy. Help us break free from the harmful things that have been said to us that we repeatedly replay in our minds. We ask forgiveness for all the times we have allowed the words of others to take precedence over what you tell us. Help us let go of all the destructive things that have diminished and destroyed a healthy self-image…help us see clearly toxic relationships that distort what you say love is. Help us live for your approval and not the approval of others. We pray there will be no voice louder or more important in our lives from this day forward than yours.
You say love endures with patience, is kind and thoughtful, is not jealous or envious, does not brag, is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude or self-seeking…it is not easily provoked, overly sensitive, or easily angered. Love does not hold things against others. Love should rejoice when right and truth prevail. Love should bear all things, regardless of what comes. Love should believe the good things about us and look for the best, not believe the worst or see only the worst in us. Love should stay steadfast during difficult times and endure all things without weakening…love never fails…it never fades nor ends. Help us remember these truths so we have a clear vision of what the love we give and receive should be like.
We are grateful for the unconditional love you have shown us. We are thankful there is nothing we can say or do that will make you love us less or more…that we are saved by grace, not by our works…that we are alive in you and our past is forgiven…that we are sanctified and new creations and cleansed by the blood of The Lamb. Thank you for redeeming us and setting us free.
Please heal our hurts, help us guard our hearts, and love others well. We pray for all who are hurting because of estranged relationships. Please do what only you can to heal, restore and redeem what the enemy has meant for harm. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen.
May the Lord heal and restore you in every way, friends.
