Daily Prayer For February 21, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the gift of prayer. We are grateful we can come before your throne with confidence that we will receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. We are thankful for the assurance that when we call, you will listen, and you are near to all who call on you in truth.

We are thankful that when we intercede for others, you can soften hearts that are hardened to our words…you can shield those we are powerless to protect…you can comfort what our words lack the power to soothe…you can heal what no man can heal…calm what we cannot quiet…save those we cannot save…provide resources we don’t have and carry burdens we can’t lift.

Thank you for our Savior, who intercedes for us and showed us that even He needed to go off and be alone and pray and spend time with you. Please help us never forsake or diminish the value or importance of prayer. Help us always be mindful of your admonition to be devoted to prayer…to pray continually…to pray for each other…to pray for our enemies…to make petitions, prayers, and intercession, with thanksgiving for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Father, please bless each person who has prayed for us. We know we can’t fully know this side of heaven, how many prayers have been said on our behalf, and how we have benefited from those prayers…we will never know the ripple effect all of our prayers have had throughout eternity. Please put things on our hearts you want us to pray for and show us anything in our lives that might hinder our prayers. We want to be right before you and please you, Father. We humbly bow before you and thank you for our Savior, Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
