Daily Prayer For April 29, 2017
Sun Apr 30, 2017 3:02 pm
Hello, Friends! I’ve read of many this week who could use this prayer…
Dear Lord,
We have read in your Word, how the Apostle Paul had such affliction and distress that he despaired of life…we read about despair and pain in the book of Job and all throughout the Psalms and other books of the Bible… Jesus was known as a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief… when we hurt in this life, we are in good company.
Your word clearly shows that those who served you and followed you suffered greatly and their lives were not always easy…the Bible clearly shows that difficult trials fall on those who walk with you…the good news is you walk with us… we do not go through these things alone…you strengthen us…you understand…you comfort…you grieve with us and will always redeem these trials…if not in this life, in the one to come…
No matter where we are today, no matter what we are doing…we are called to do everything as unto you…we are to seek to please you alone…we are to love you and seek to bring glory and honor to you, even in the midst of our pain, in the midst of loss, in the midst of uncertainty and adversity and anything else that touches our lives…good or bad. We know that a day spent serving you, is better than 1,000 pain-free days serving ourselves. You are The Source of every comfort, consolation and encouragement. You comfort us in every trouble and affliction so we can comfort others with the same comfort you give us.
There will always be people in our lives like Job’s friends…people who don’t understand but speak as though they do… people who are well-intentioned, but still say and do hurtful things… people who judge wrongly…we have no control over what others say or do…but we don’t have to allow those things to destroy our hearts and make us bitter and angry…we can put up healthy boundaries and give you our wounds and pain and allow you to heal us…we can choose whose voice and truth we allow to become our inner voice…these thinks aren’t easy, but we know we can do all things through Christ.
Thank you for going before us and standing beside us in all that we face…help us not to worry about what others think, say and do…help us to do our best and leave everything else in your hands. We are grateful you know the truth in every situation and one day you will make right all the wrongs and we will all be healed and whole and not have to deal with the hard things of this life again. We thank you that we are never alone and your grace sees us through. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
God bless you friends!
