Daily Prayer For April 17, 2017
Mon Apr 17, 2017 11:32 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Our Father,
As we look at this beautiful ocean that you created we are reminded that you are the Living Water that we need to survive. You tell us that those who drink from your Living Water will never thirst… your Living Water will be as a fountain to us and spring up into eternal life.
Please help those who feel distant from you…remind them of the joy of their salvation. Please cause a fountain to bubble up within that will overflow onto the dry places that have grown parched. Help those who feeling empty and numb, to feel like they have a river of life flowing in them and through them…the enemy wants us to feel desolate…like we are dying in a desert that we can never escape from. Help us to overcome and escape from the discouragement and disillusionment he torments us with…breathe new life and hope into each of us…surround us with people who offer us life-giving words of encouragement … let us come across the scriptures we need and help us to hear uplifting music that will cause us to praise you. Even when our world is falling apart, if we lift our hearts in praise, that praise lifts us to your presence. Even if our circumstances don’t change, we will be changed when we praise you… in your presence, we find what we will never find in this world.
Please help us to cease striving and to find your rest… when we are full of things of you, we no longer have insatiable desires of our own that need to be filled. Help us to get to the place of contentment that the apostle spoke about. Easter is a reminder of your power. It’s a reminder of how your plans and ways are so above our own…our minds and imaginations can’t begin to conceive of all that you have planned to work all things together for good. Things aren’t over until you say they are over…we have hope no matter what we face, because of Jesus.
We come to you today with open arms and open hearts. Fill us we pray as we give you praise for who you are, for all you have done for us and for all that you’ve yet to do. With gratitude and appreciation and with anticipation for the changes that are coming, we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen
May you have a blessed week friends!
