Daily Prayer For April 3, 2017
Mon Apr 03, 2017 7:32 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are grateful that you are the anchor that keeps us steady when the winds of change come.We are grateful that you are with us through every season of our lives.
Father, as we face our giants today, help us to remember to use the tools you’ve given us to protect ourselves emotionally, mentally and spiritually. You have given us everything we need to be able to stand in the face of discouragement and adversity and be more than a conqueror. We are not alone. We are not helpless. We are not without hope. We are not abandoned. We have a heavenly host that surrounds us …they are fighting battles on our behalf that we cannot see and are unaware of…one day you will show us all the times that we have been saved, protected and redirected from things the enemy sent to harm us. Help us remember that You have gone before us. You stand behind us. You never leave our side. We may be persecuted, we may be surrounded by darkness, but we are not destroyed or crushed and your light will always lead and guide us.
Help us to cling to your truths. Help us focus on the blessings and the things that we have to be grateful for…remind us when we feel helpless, that many battles are fought and won on our knees…remind us to bathe in prayer each other, our families, our friends, our pastors, our leaders, those who fight for our rights and freedoms and those who are in ministry. The enemy is fierce and the battles are raging, but you our God, are so much bigger than he who is in the world. We may feel like David with just a slingshot going against a giant…but David knew it was not about his size, abilities or the weapon he carried…it was all about Who stood with him.
Help us to fight against the discouraging things in the news…against the troubling things we see and hear around us…against the trials that seem unrelenting and the self-defeating thoughts we have…help us to speak life-giving words to ourselves and to others…help our words to be seasoned with salt so they uplift and encourage and point the way to you…help us to walk in your victory, Father. Thank you for equipping us to meet every challenge. We praise you because you reign…we praise you because you are worthy to be praised. Blessed be your name. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
Praying you feel His presence this week!
