Daily Prayer For April 16, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

What amazing things we celebrate today…your resurrection and your victory over sin and death. You are alive!! You are not the great “I was,” but you are the great “I am”…the one whose birth and death fulfilled prophecies and declared the truth of who you are. We worship you, the one true Living God… Hallowed be your name, Lord! Because of you we have hope…we have a future…we never walk alone…we are saved, forgiven and redeemed with your precious blood. By your stripes we are healed. When your name is mentioned, evil must flee. You are the answer to every question and every need. You are the Prince of Peace, The Way, The Truth and Life… The One who is well acquainted with grief and The One who comforts us in our sorrows. You are The Giver of Life, Our Advocate, The Bright and Morning Star and Emmanuel, God who is with us…you are, Our Redeemer who lives!

May the joy of remembering the miracles we celebrate today overshadow every earthly care. May the same fire that burned within the Apostles after seeing you rise from the dead, burn within us. Easter reminds us in such a profound way of the high value that you place on each of us…you loved us so much you laid down your life for us…help us to place that same value on others so we make it a priority to share the gospel and pray for those who don’t know you.

Thank you for saving us and for preparing a place for us. Thank you for forgiving us, cleansing us and doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. We are humbled and grateful to know that your thoughts for us outnumber the grains of sand…that your eye is always upon us and that you are interceding in prayer for us. Thank you for your amazing grace, mercy and favor. With hearts filled with joy, we give you praise, glory and honor and bow before you. We thank you that we have a risen Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen
