Daily Prayer For August 14, 2016
Tue Aug 16, 2016 5:11 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We thank you for your words that give us hope and encouragement and help to sustain us in our trials. We pray for all who are in the midst of battles big and small… The Bible says that if one part of the body suffers, we all suffer. We are all connected. We all have different roles, purposes and gifts within the body of Christ and we all are needed. Every part of the Body of Christ is as valuable, loved and as necessary as the next. You created us to belong to each other and to you. Peter tells us to resist the enemy, and to stand firm in the faith, because our brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering… May our times of adversity and hardship remind us to pray for others, Lord… when we are praying for our own needs, may we be reminded to pray for others who are facing the same trials and situations that we are.
We are all aware of how much pain surrounds us and how much is wrong in our world. We can’t right all the wrongs or even help everyone in need, but we can pray… so as we are gathered today, we lift up our brothers and sisters around the world and we pray for the sick, the hungry and the poor… for all who are dealing with natural disasters… for the abused and the persecuted…for all who are dealing with wars, grief, death, loss, divorce, relationship issues and every form of trial and adversity that is known to man …We ask in Jesus’ name, that all who are in need, would feel a touch from you. We pray that your word will bring life, hope, restoration and renewal to every hurting heart and every person in need.
We love you, Lord and we thank you in advance for all you will do. What a wonderful day awaits when we will all be gathered at your banquet table…what amazing revelations will await us when you show us all that has been hidden and unknown … what a blessing it will be when we see first hand the impact that our prayers have had…Thank you, Lord…for all the ways you bless us now and for all that is to come. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Blessings be upon you dear brothers and sisters!
