Daily Prayer For August 7, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
You know what it is like to feel anxious, rejected, persecuted and alone. You were alone in the Garden of Gethsemane and felt anxiety and fear… you were alone as you bore those brutal beatings and as you hung on the cross and felt the weight of our sins. You understand every pain, heartache and emotion we will ever feel…sometimes we are judged harshly and wrongly by others, but you understand all that we deal with…all that we are…all that we feel…with a heart full of love and compassion you call us to yourself so you can be our comforter, encourager and healer…when we are tempted to doubt your caring…when we are tempted to think that no one understands or cares, help us to remember all you’ve been through and endured for us… the many ways you’ve proven your heart towards us…please remind us and prompt us when we are tempted to turn to others for comfort before coming to you…may nothing ever take your rightful place in our lives, Lord…
Lord, we reach for the hem of your garment and ask you to heal our hurts… heal our illnesses…deliver us from our enemies…and provide for our needs as only you can. Help us to accept the things we cannot change. Help us to walk in your strength, wisdom and power. Use us Lord, to be a blessing to others…use all that we have been through to help others…please be glorified in us…in our homes, in our hearts, in our relationships and in our circumstances…may we grieve and live as those who have hope…may we love with your love…may we comfort with your comfort…may we learn to be content in all things and realize how blessed we are…even if we never received another thing from you, we are so blessed just to be your children and heirs to your kingdom.
Please be with those we love and meet their needs and watch over them and protect them from all evil and harm. We ask for your protection, strength and deliverance and provision for our brothers and sisters around the world who are being persecuted, enslaved, imprisoned and killed…for all who live in fear…for all who are displaced, homeless and hated…Lord, please make a way where there seems to be no way for deliverance. We pray for those who don’t know you… may each one come to a saving knowledge of who you are. Thank you for all you do and for all that awaits. You are so worthy to be praised. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen
