Daily Prayer For August 22, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this new week. We ask for you to order our days that our time will be well spent. May we have a burning desire within us to spend time with you, especially at the beginning of each new day. May you be our priority…may our first and last thoughts of the day be of you.

Help us to be useful for your kingdom…help any who doubt that they have a purpose, remember that you have a calling for each of us. Even if we are at home bedridden, you can still use us. Every hurt, every loss, every illness, every difficult situation that we endure, in your hands, is something to be used for our good and your glory. We pray that even as you send people to stand by us and help us through our hard times, that we can be used to help others in need as well. There is healing in giving and we pray that you will arrange opportunities for us so we might comfort others with the same comfort you’ve given us.

Lord, please put a hedge of protection around us all. We pray for your help in overcoming the things that keep us from being all that you’ve called us to be. Please help us to leave our worries, cares, grief and heartache at your feet. Please renew our hearts and minds and cleanse us from our sins. Lord, please be our strength and help us to keep moving forward… even if our progress is slow, that is progress…please help us so we don’t become stagnate.

We thank you for the spiritual armor and strength you supply us… may we see ourselves as girded and ready for anything that we will come up against this week. We pray that we will be fearless and confident, knowing that we have your help and you have equipped us for every battle. Help us to remember you have gone before us and all we need to do is acknowledge and look to you and you will lead us, guide us and make a way were there seems no way.

Lord, please help us to take back and claim the things the enemy tries to steal from us, especially our peace, confidence, joy and trust in you. Lord, please heal each of us so we may rise up from the ashes stronger than ever from the losses and trials we have endured. We thank you that with faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. Lord, we turn to you, we seek you and we go forward this day and week believing you have an army of angels surrounding us and we are not alone. We love you Lord . We thank and praise you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
