Daily Prayer For June 23, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we gather today, we are reminded that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. He wants to discourage, defeat, accuse, slander, intimidate and crush us. Many among us are weary, broken and bruised from the things that they have had to face. Lord, we ask for your healing hand to touch each person who is reading this…we ask for you to restore all that the enemy has taken…we ask for deliverance from all that is coming against them…

Lord, help us to remember daily to put on our spiritual armor so we can stand fast against the battles that rage against us…help us remember the things that empower us, such as what the Bible calls, “the word of our testimony”…every time we speak about the things that God has done…the more we share with others about the trials God has seen us through, it is a witness and a testimony that encourages others… and we encourage ourselves at the same time…when we remember God’s faithfulness, the enemy loses…he wants us to believe that you are not faithful…he wants us to feel hopeless…he wants us to forget your promises and the truth of your Word…The Bible says your Word is sharper than any sword… that it is alive and powerful…help us to remember to use it to overcome all that we face. Lord, speak to our hearts and convict us to read your Word and memorize it so it becomes a tool in fighting the attacks of the enemy.

Lord, please help us, no matter where we are at…whether we are in the middle of a crisis, whether we are dealing with illness, disability or injuries, or whether we are just trying to heal our wounds from all we have been through… please help us to remember with gratitude and joy the many times you have been faithful…not only in our own lives but the lives of others…your Word says the stories written in the Bible are for our encouragement…they are to show us how people from the beginning of time have dealt with adversity and pain and found you faithful…you wrote these things as a gift to us so we can have hope…so we can know that our hope in you is not misplaced. May we heed the lessons you have given us…

Father, we ask for courage…we ask for deeper faith…we ask to feel contented knowing you are with us and you are in control…may our days start and end with praises and gratitude for all you’ve done for us…for all you promise to do…we thank you that you turn our tests into a testimony and our messes into a message…Please bless us Lord, so we can be a blessing…may people see you in us, especially during our times of struggle…please meet each need, spoken and unspoken…with gratitude we ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen
