Daily Prayer For June 11, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for being the solid rock on which we stand…for being the steadying force when our world is rocked, when our faith is shaken and when we feel our losses to the core of our being. No matter what happens to us in this life…no matter what comes against us to try to bring us down, your love remains. You are the wind beneath our wings and the hope in which we anchor our faith.

To place our hope in people, things or even in hope itself is futile. Our hope can be in nothing but you. Everyone will be failed and let down by people at some point. Everything in this world with wither and fade away. Our hope, faith and trust is in you only, Lord…the One who never changes…the One in whom our roots can grow deep…the One who is steadfast and faithful…the One whose promises can be counted on from age to age…

Lord, help those who are struggling to find stability and hope…help those who have given up…help those whose vision is clouded…help those who are floundering in their faith. Father, please pour out your grace and mercy even as we are praying now…please help us to see the bigger picture…help us not to seek just happiness in this life…happiness is fleeting and elusive, but your joy remains, no matter what our circumstances…your joy is not rooted in events, people or things…your joy is a gift that helps us endure…it keeps us pressing on when things are hard…it gives us strength…

Father, please touch each heart…please meet each financial need…please lay your hand on each person who is in need of healing… each one who has lost a loved one… each one whose heart is heavy for someone they care about…each one who is exhausted…each one who is dealing with a difficult person or situation…help us to remember your nearness and your promise to comfort those who mourn…your promise to turn our mourning to joy and dancing…to restore all the enemy has taken and to provide for our needs… please help us remember your angel armies who fight on our behalf…help us to remember your Holy Spirit who dwells with us and comforts us…help us to remember that Jesus is at your right hand interceding for us at this very moment…we are not alone…we may feel alone, but our feelings are not truth…

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us this very moment…help us to believe that we will see your goodness…help us to wait on you and be strong and courageous. Lord, we give you all that we are, all that we hope to be and all of our burdens and pain and we ask you to have your will and your way with us. Help us to trust that we will not fall and we will not fail, and that you will give us your best at just the right time. We thank you in advance for all you will do. May we point the way to you in all that we say and do. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen.
