Daily Prayer For June 8, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We are told in your Word that you are The Vine and we are the branches…we are reminded that we need to cling to you to be able to receive all we need so we don’t wither and so we can bear good fruit. Lord, please help us to be wise stewards with all that you’ve given us…help us to prune out the distractions and things that keep us from being our best and doing our best…we ask for help in managing our time and priorities…we ask for help in setting proper boundaries in our relationships and we pray that we will be discerning and hear your voice about the things that we should say “no” to so we can say “yes” to the most important things.

Help us to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We ask that you lead us and guide us in the way we should go when it comes to taking care of ourselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, socially and financially…we ask for wisdom in these areas Lord, especially where we are lacking…please lead us to the proper teaching, resources, instruction and people who will help us to learn how to take care of ourselves while juggling all of our responsibilities…help us to realize that when we are out of balance or lacking in one area, it has an effect on other areas of our lives…

So many of us have plates that are overflowing with multiple struggles…life is difficult…many start the day out tired and never recover because of too many nights without enough sleep…for many, they feel fatigued no matter how much they sleep due to health issues … Lord you know all and see all…you know everything that we need to change or need help with in our lives, so we ask for every need spoken and unspoken…we ask for you to touch lives and hearts…we ask you to fill us with your Holy Spirit…we ask for help in every area that we need to discipline ourselves…we ask for help to be more consistent, more faithful, more grateful, more patient, more forgiving, less anxious, less fearful and less focused on our problems instead of you our problem solver…Lord, our needs are all different, but whatever it is we need, we ask that you lead, guide, instruct and help us to move forward in your power and mightso we can live up to our calling, so we can serve you well and so we can be good witnesses for you…

Lord, we need you…we bow before you in this moment and we surrender to your will…to your timing…to what you think is best…your will for us is far better than what we can think, dream or imagine…may we trust you more so we can be more like Jesus . We thank you in advance for all you will do. We thank you that we can ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen
