Daily Prayer For October 4, 2015
Sun Oct 04, 2015 9:34 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the hope we have in you…we thank you that because Christ rose from the grave, everything changed…because of our faith in you, we should be filled with hope that defies our circumstances…we have something that no other faith has…a risen Savior…Oh, Lord…help us to rejoice in that truth all year long…help us to rejoice not just on Easter, but every single day of our live…Jesus is alive… and that should change the way we live and the way we look at life…
Help us to be filled with hope, Lord…help us to spread and share that hope with others…this world needs hope more than ever…Lord, we ask that you would give us opportunities to share…bring people into our lives that we can help…people that we can invest in their lives… one person at a time makes a difference…we never know the impact that just one person can make…an usher invited a young Billy Graham to come into a revival…Billy found you there and went on to lead millions of people to a saving knowledge of you…sometimes the actions of one person can change the world…help us to reach out right where we are, Lord…there are so many ways to bring hope and encouragement…perhaps it’s helping a young child who is struggling to read…perhaps it’s tutoring someone to learn English…perhaps babysitting and helping a single parent… help us to think outside of the box and to be your hands and feet…we can plant seeds of hope into the lives of others even when we are hurting…being stuck at home doesn’t even have to be an obstacle now with the internet…there are online missionaries who can bring the good news of the gospel, hope and encouragement just by logging on to a computer…
Lord, we pray you will plant the seeds of ideas into our hearts…we pray for open doors…we pray for a soft heart to hear your voice…some might say they are too hurt or broken to help anyone, but we often find healing when we reach out to help others…we often find you in new ways when we share the same comfort you have given us with others…Lord, please help us to rise above the words “I can’t”…help us to remember that we can do all things through you…what we can’t do on our own, we can do through you…help us to remember the source of our hope and the source of our strength. Please remove the veil of darkness the enemy tries to cover us with…help us to see your light…help us to seek it daily…help us to remember your past deeds…help us to remember how the apostles thought everything was lost…that the world was dark and had no purpose until they heard that Christ was risen…that news changed their lives and changed our world…a small group of people changed the world and the course of history with the good news that Christ is alive…help us to carry that good news in our hearts and help us to reach out and share it with those around us…we are people of hope because of Christ. This world is not our home. Our trials do not define us…they are temporary and can’t begin to compare with the joy that is coming. Help us to cling to that truth today. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
May you be filled with hope and His joy!
