Daily Prayer For August 30, 2015
Sun Sep 06, 2015 5:58 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Heavenly Father,
We thank you for who you are…we thank you for the hope that you offer to humanity. We thank you that even when we see such dark times falling across the world that you are the hope that sustains us and allows us to not be afraid when we see the deeds of evil men so clearly on display.
Father, we pray for the victims of evil acts of violence all around the world. We pray for the injured and the traumatized and for all the families that are grieving today because of the loss of loved ones. We pray for all the refugees, the terrorized, the persecuted and homeless. We grieve with those that grieve, Lord… We are sad for the tragedies we see unfolding…we grieve for the innocence that is lost and for the sense of safety that is diminishing in the world… we know your heart grieves as well, Lord…
Help us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. We realize that the future of our world is so accurately foretold in the Bible. We know that the time is drawing near for your return and so the spiritual warfare will continue to escalate. We must cling to you and not the things of this world…please constantly prompt us to be interceding in prayer for our family’s, for our neighbors, for our community’s, for our country’s and our leaders …
You are the hope for this lost and dying world that is so full of anger, division and mistrust…that is so full of people who are so easily offended by everything except what offends you …help us to not be discouraged, but remain faithful and draw our strength from you…we thank you for being our rock, our fortress, our shield, our protector and defender. Help us to overcome all that is before us. Heal us Lord, that we may be healed and serve you well. Please provide for every need. We praise you, Lord…we turn to you as The Way, The Truth and The Life and we know that your light is guiding us no matter how dark the night, how uncertain the way, or how stormy the sea… no matter what we face, we know we can face tomorrow because He lives! We are thankful we can come to you with our needs in the name of our risen King, Jesus. Amen.
May God’s blessing be upon you all!
