Daily Prayer For August 31, 2015

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Heavenly Father…
Thank you for your infinite grace, mercy and compassion. Thank you, for understanding us, even when others don’t. Thank you, for standing by us always…sometimes it feels like we stand alone in this life, but we know our feelings are not true, you are with us until the end of the age…
Father, your word says “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Thank you Lord for being our rock. At times, it seems like we will drown because we are so weighted down by the burdens and pain of this life. At times, we just feel so overwhelmed … and many times that feeling is compounded because we suffer in silence… perhaps our pain is for someone we care about and we know to speak up, will only cause problems between us…sometimes we keep silent because we fear judgment due to a lack of understanding or compassion…sometimes we keep silent because we feel shame or embarrassement…other times we suffer in silence because we feel like no one cares…
Lord, we ask for your light to shine in the dark places of our lives…help us to learn how to lay our burdens down and leave them with you… we thank you there is freedom in your presence…we don’t have to pretend, we don’t have to stay silent…we don’t have to worry that you don’t understand…with you there is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing…how blessed we are to have you as our faithful companion and confidant who never grows tired of listening to us, who never turns us away and who always give us wisdom when we ask…. help us to find your joy every day…help us to count everything as joy…help us to be filled with hope and gratitude as we think on who you are and all you’ve done…all you’ve promised to do…help us to find refreshment so we can endure and keep pressing on.
You are the God of wonders and miracles…you have answers to prayers that we can’t imagine…you have a vision for our lives that is beyond anything that we can think, dream or imagine…help us to not get caught up in the drama and burdens of life…help us to trust that no matter where we are in our lives, you see us, you have a plan and you will carry it out it at just the right time…good things come to those who wait on you…help us to wait well and with joyful expectation…help our hearts to jump for joy within us to think about the how our trials will be worked for good…help us to wait with calm assurance for your promised provision for our needs…help us to be glad that though we can’t see it now, every hard thing will be redeemed in some way…Lord, we are so far from where we want to be, but we know with your help, strength and instruction, we will get there. Please go before us this day and may we find rest in your presence today. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen
