Daily Prayer For July 3, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord Jesus,
You understand when we are weary, anxious, stressed, in pain, or full of grief and sorrow. You showed us by example what to do when things seem too heavy for us to bear…you often took time out to go off by yourself to pray and rest…on your darkest night, you prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane…you cried out to your Father and poured out your heart…you were so heavy-hearted knowing all you faced, but after praying, you rose up to face all that was before you.
You took on all of our sin and shame. You took on all of our pain…we will never know the depths of pain, agony, loss, and despair that you endured in our place…we don’t ever have to question if you understand what we are going through or if you care…You understand far more than we do ourselves…and the power and strength that allowed you to endure everything that led to the cross…the power that allowed you to defeat death and rise from the grave…that is the power you offer to us to help us handle all that comes against us in this life…it is no small thing to say, “we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength”. You don’t just give us strength, you become our strength and you give us your resurrection power!
May we come to the place that we embrace all that you make available to us and quit trying to do everything our own way, in our limited strength and with our limited knowledge and perspective… help us to conquer our fears, master our anxious thoughts and overcome the stumbling blocks that keep us trapped in the same repetitive cycles mentally, emotionally, relationally, physically, financially and spiritually…may we grow to be like you in all of our ways. We want your will to be done, not our own. We want to please you, Lord. We want to always be mindful of all you did for us and all you continue to do for each of us on a daily basis.
Please forgive us for our sins. Please bless us so we might bless others and may people see you in us. We are not where we would like to be, but we are grateful we are not where we once were either. One day at a time, Lord…with your help, we will make it one day at a time. We praise you and thank you and pray in your mighty name. Amen
May you feel His love and strength today!
