Daily Prayer For July 1, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Today we come before you and we give you thanks. We are told that whatever we do, in word or deed, we should do in the name of Jesus and give thanks to you through Him. We are told to give thanks to you because you are good…to give thanks to you, Lord of Lords, because your love is eternal and you are faithful…we are to never stop giving thanks…we are to overflow with thanks…

Please help us to remember that when we praise you through our hardest times and struggles, it is a witness to others. When people see us filled with peace, instead of fear or worry, they want to know the source of our peace as well. Help us to point the way to you and represent you well. Life is hard, even with your help. We can’t imagine navigating through this life without you, yet there are so many who are doing just that. There are so many who don’t know you as their Lord and Savior. They don’t know the peace you offer…the strength and comfort you give…the healing, hope, salvation, and redemption you offer. We lift our friends and loved ones who don’t know you and pray they will come to that saving knowledge of who you are.

Thank you for allowing us to see another week and a new month. We ask you to go before us. We pray that we will continually be drawn closer to you and to be made more like Jesus. Please lead and guide us and order our days so they are well spent. We love you, Lord. We give you praise, glory, and honor and ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
