Daily Prayer For September 25, 2015
Sun Sep 27, 2015 11:22 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your word says for us to take every thought captive. Help us to dwell on you, instead of worries and pain. Help us to mediate on your word, instead of destructive thoughts of anger and bitterness. Remind us to call on your strength and the name of Jesus to banish sinful thoughts when the enemy tempts us. Help us to train our minds to shut off negative thoughts and all the things we can’t change. Help us to focus on you…The ONE who can do all things! Help our thoughts to be pure and help us to dwell on things that are edifying and that will fill us with peace.
Lord, help us to not lean on our own understanding. Help us not to question and wrestle with you and the things you are doing in our lives. Help us remember you are the potter and we are the clay. Help us to be more trusting so we won’t resist your refining process. You only want what’s best for us. Your thoughts are higher than ours. Your ways better than our ways, yet we often struggle with your authority, thinking that we know what is best …help us Lord to die to ourselves that Jesus will be resurrected in us…so we can be all that you want us to be…
Lord, may each of us feel your comfort today and we ask for your divine intervention, provision and rescue. We pray you would right the wrongs and injustices in the world…may common sense prevail. May good triumph over evil. We pray that you would spare the innocent and bind the enemy who is so intent on destroying as many as he can. Please put a shield of protection around all those who protect and serve…the firefighters, law enforcement, emergency personnel and the military. Bless them and their families for their sacrifices and bravery. Please watch over all we love…please meet their needs, Lord…draw them close unto yourself. Thank you for the people you place in our lives who love and care for us…thank you for those who encourage us, bless us and pray for us. Please pour your blessing out upon them.
Lord, we need you…please fill us and help us to be still in your presence. Please light our way and may others see you in us, Lord. May we glorify you in all that we say and do. We love you and thank you for hearing our prayers. Thank you for not giving up on us and for loving us as we are. We are grateful we can pray in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen
May His grace sustain you and may you be filled to overflowing with His peace!
